LAGOS STATE WORKERS HOUSING SCHEME

The leadership of the Organized labour presents fraternal greetings to the Head of Service and wishes to draw your attention to the issue of affordable housing for workers in Lagos State as requested from the Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu during the official courtesy visits which were held at the Governor’s Office on the 15th October 2019.

Sir, it should be recalled that during the said meetings with the Governor, the leadership of JNC, TUC and NLC requested for the following amongst others;

1) Provision of land for Housing Schemes

2) Provision of certain quota of the Government Rent-to-Own Scheme for workers at a discount.

3) Provision of certain quota of the Government Housing Scheme through outright purchase at a discount.

3) Provision of certain quota of the Government Housing Scheme through outright purchase at a discount.

It is our candid belief that if the items highlighted above are looked into, it will go a long way to ameliorate the housing challenges faced by workers in the state.

Sir, we shall be grateful if the above requests are given speedy approval.
